Great little beach! We visited in February on a beautiful sunny yet slightly chilly day! The beach is gorgeous and I would imagine it is stunning in summer too! We went in storm who made it across the pot holed car park with ease, but I think Sunny might have struggled, it was a bumpy ride! There’s a cafe, dogs are allowed in the winter months and its a perfect spot for a picnic and a stroll around the surrounding countryside!
Maenporth beach cafe has all the usual suspects like chips, burgers, toasted ciabattas, ice creams and a selection of hot and cold drinks! It is run by a really friendly team and the service was efficient! We bagged a nice little sheltered spot to soak up some winter warmth!
It’s £2.50 for a coffee. Now if you’re a coffee love like me go large, it’s quite small, but good coffee for a beach side caff!
I had a ciabatta bacon roll and the old man had a burger, this was £4 and better value than the burger which was £5 and on the small side in my humble hungry tummy opinion. I enjoyed this though it was loaded with tasty bacon!
I am definitely up for some yoga on the beach! I’m not sure this time of year would be as much balancing as bracing lol and the sup’s weren’t out, just a lone kayaker and lots of dogs enjoying the water! I would imagine it is a hive of activity in the Spring/Summer!
We didn’t stray far from the beach but theres some lovely surrounding countryside to have a gander at! Over all this was a gorgeous little spot I can’t wait to visit again in the summer! The parking was free, the beach was sandy, the beach dog was wandering around saying hello to everyone, the view was spot on and the sun was shining, what more could you ask for… We highly recommend a visit!
